MRRC Christmas Party Weekend
Continuing an MRRC holiday tradition, the 35th annual K8MR Christmas Party and MRRC meeting will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland, OH. That same weekend, MRRCers are also invited to the K8AZ Open House/Christmas Party with our colleagues from the North Coast Contesters.
The K8AZ Open House begins around 3:00 PM with refreshments, snacks and pizza. Here is the information for K8AZ

Exit I-271 at exit 36 for Wilson Mills Road east until it dead ends. Turn right on Chagrin River Road for and proceed for about ¼ mile to the first road on the left (Brigham Road). Follow it up the hill and cross County Line Road, then proceed another ½ mile to Surrey Lane on the right, and follow it to K8AZ.
Around 7:00 PM, the migration begins for the twenty minute drive to K8MR. Follow the route shown above back to I-271 south. It's not clear from the map, but you must be in the local lanes to get off at exit 29 for Chagrin Boulevard. Take Chagrin east until it ends at the roundabout. Follow the roundabout to your right, and proceed south on Lander Road for about 1½ miles to Jackson Road. K8MR is the first house east of Lander on the north side of Jackson Road.

The festivities at K8MR’s culminates in a MRRC meeting around 10:00 PM.
A group of MRRCers plan to leave the Detroit metro area Saturday morning to drive down to Cleveland for the parties. Space IS available if you wish to ride along, or you can caravan down in your own vehicle. We plan to return to Detroit Sunday morning after spending Saturday night at the Hampton Inn near K8MR's QTH. Contact Dave, K8CC at his call "at" comcast.net for more information.
K9TM has confirmed that the Amateur Electronic Supply store in nearby Wickcliffe WILL be open that weekend as an added attraction.
